This Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how Horrific Film Fest, Inc. (the “HFF”) collects and uses the personal information you provide and to assist you in making informed decisions when using this site and its products and services.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you visit this website, you may provide HFF with personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis.

Personal Information You Choose to Provide: You may provide information about yourself, your firm or company, and your practices when you contact HFF for services or information or register for email newsletters and alerts. You may also provide additional comments on how you see HFF servicing your needs and interests. HFF will only use this information to provide services to you, and will not share this information with third parties, unless the services of third parties are contracted for.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with

We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information to the Services, such as when you register for access to the Services (whether as a user, member, sponsor, filmmaker or otherwise), submit to our film festival as a Filmmaker or use certain parts of the Services. The Personal Data we may collect includes without limitation your name, address, email address, zip code and other personally identifiable information. If any user voluntarily provides that information, it will be available to us and will be held by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy. In addition, such information will be used to manage statistics and demographics to improve you experience with the San Antonio Horrific Film Festival. Your data will not be shared with third parties nor other sponsors.

HFF may enter into alliances, partnerships or other business arrangements with third parties who may be given access to personal information. We also use third parties to facilitate our business, including, but not limited to, processing credit card payments. In connection with these offerings and business operations, our partners and other third parties may have access to your personal information for use in connection with HFF’s business activities. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
